I have been playing with my new iPhone almost constantly since I got it last week. It’s the best phone system I have had, I already have over 7 pages of apps, although I will be going through those as soon as I get a moment or two and culling them down to something less than three or so pages. At least I hope to do that, might find that I like all the ones I have picked up so far. Although I am betting that there are a few that I am going to get rid of, just from briefly looking at them. I am currently spending time looking for a good to do list application. I have downloaded several but they weren’t that good to be honest. They were either too much trouble to use or just plain troublesome and not worth even turning them on. I am keeping an eye on the store, though. And yes, I am being somewhat cheap and trying all the free ones first. It only makes sense, especially with not being able to get a refund if you buy something that you don’t like. If I would have had to pay for all the free ones that I have already deleted I would be not only apologizing to my wallet I would be quite pissed.

The apps are really icing on the cake for the iPhone. There are so many to choose from that you can find almost whatever you want, though it’s faster to download them on your broadband at home or at the local coffee shop. I have also found the texting to be a whole lot easier and faster on the phone than on my previous one. Now that they can do landscape mode with the texting it certainly makes a difference. I used texting on my friends before I got my own and at that time it was still a bit of a pain to type, but it was much easier than the phone I had at the time. So now it is even better, I can be so much more annoying to my friends, even without a Bluetooth headset.

I kind of got lost for a while in the app store. Lots of fun looking stuff! Great free stuff! Which is very nice, my wallet really likes that! There are also, of course, a lot of apps that require payment but some of them really seem to be worth it. I already picked up a couple, mainly because they were currently like eighty percent off, figured if I was interested in them, now would be the time to get the app instead of waiting until it goes back to full price. I saw a few others that I want, but need to check into before getting as they are a bit more expensive. Ok, going to go try and finish stuff so I can go play just a bit.

WhooYa! Finally, my own iPhone! I waited for what seemed a long time but needed to get a business line, which is different news, and I went ahead and upgraded my phone. The old phone was really at the point of falling apart. I had about three buttons on it that were cracked completely through the button and it was having some issues dealing with some of the stuff I was trying to do. Texting was a serious pain, though I did a lot of it. However, texting on my new iPhone is a really easy. Quick, fast to type and easy to cut, copy and paste if I want. I am really enjoying it so far and I have only had it for like a day. I am very anxious to play with it for a bit but I have a few things I have to get done so playing with it is having to go on hold until I finish those things, afterwards I can play with it some.

I have been keeping up with most iPhone stuff cause I am fairly interested in getting one. I was going to get one for a business line but don’t think I would really use more than about twenty percent of its capabilities. I have looked at telephones and cordless phones but don’t find them to be as convenient. So, for work it will be a regular cell, most likely as cheap as I can get. Probably just go with the free ones most phone companies offer, as I don’t think I really would need much more than that. There might be a few features I would need for a business line, but about the only one I can think of off the top of my head is an answering machine or service. I have considered call logging but that doesn’t make too much sense for what I want to use the phone for.

However, I am still very interested in picking up the new iPhone 3GS soon as I get my new job bringing in some more cash. I heard, recently, that they are having problems with overheating on the phones, though. That kind of sucks. I don’t think apple has really said anything about it yet. At least nothing really official. There are some other neat things I have come across for the phone also. There is now an application for getting Sirius/xm radio on your phone, you can download books from Amazon and a couple of other major bookstores and you can now take video with the new phone. Plus you can edit it and it has the landscape keyboard in most of its applications now. That is a great thing! If you haven’t used it, you should give it a try. I was using my friends just earlier after trying to hold a text conversation on my currently phone and it was like somebody reaching down and handing you a glass of water in the middle of the desert. Huge difference when I was texting. Huge. Someday, right. Ah, well going to go take a look and see if there is anything new in apps for the phone.

I seem to talk about phones quite a bit and I am going to do it again today. I will talk about the iPhone later, did do the update for my friends phone to the 3.0 OS and they seem to like it so far. Haven’t picked up a new phone yet, and now I have to consider another line for a business phone. I am almost tempted to just get the same thing I currently have, either that or something similar. I certainly don’t plan on picking up a landline, just cause I would need it to be mobile, although thinking about it, it might be easier to just have the land line. That way I could have things forwarded or just have my cell set up so I could call in to check messages when I was out for a bit. I could probably even get something along the lines of a call center thing. I know you can pretty much rent those from different companies.

The regular phone I am still not sure about, but a friend was suggesting I buy BT synergy business phones and I am looking into what they have. However, I haven’t honestly got that far yet. I will have to give it some thought. I know that if I look into land line I am probably going to have to think about different companies too. I have heard of ones like Brite Telecom and ATT, not sure if they are the same type of thing though. Guess I just have more research to do. That’s no surprise as I always have lots of research going on at any one time. Almost too much sometimes, I think I could almost stand in for an encyclopedia. Although my attitude would probably turn users off pretty fast. You want to know what? Look it up! Oh, sorry, forgot that’s what I am for. Then of course I would turn around and start doing other things. See, definitely not something I should be doing.

Those of you who have been around for a bit know that I am looking forward to getting a new phone, and you most likely know that I am really interested in the iPhone. Well, I have good news! Apple is releasing a 3GS on the 19th of this month! It is supposedly a faster phone with more features and it starts at 16GB! I am excited. It even gets better! They dropped the price of their 8GB 3G to $99! There are all sorts of features that will be available soon, plus with the improved speed of the new 3GS I am, as I said, excited about it. You may be asking why I am excited? The timing is good, really good, because I am due for an upgrade on my phone on the 14th. I may just sell my mobile, the current one anyway. On the other hand I may keep it. I have yet to decide I am just happy that the new stuff is coming out now.

I have been looking at a lot of mobile phone reviews from different sites, well the ones that apply to the iPhone anyway. I know there are some up and comers in new phones that are attempting to rival it. They may already do so, but the problem in going with them is the app support. They don’t have the applications that the iPhone does and they don’t have the developers that it does either. I have looked at the style of some of them but to be honest the iPhone style appeals to me more. I have a couple of close friends who have one and I get to play with it occasionally and I have really enjoyed using it. My friend swears by the Google map and the music. They are both looking forward to the 3.0 OS update on the 17th.

I am thinking I need a new phone. Ok, not thinking I am sure I need a new phone. My old one tripped a couple of times and still feels its pains. I was looking at what is available, even thinking of a VoIP phone system but I really want to stick with a cell system. I probably need to phones one for work and one to replace my old one. Luckily, almost like I planned it, I am just about eligible for the upgrade discount. Probably not as exciting to you as it is to me, but I am somewhat hyped about it.

If you’ve been keeping track you probably know I am a fan of the iPhone, and want to get one for myself as soon as I can. I know they are coming out with a 3.0 for their OS and I am looking forward to seeing what that might bring. Plus, I just recently saw that they might, maybe, possibly, be announcing something new soon. The new generation of iPhone? I guess they have a reputation for being ahead of the curve and I am really looking forward to seeing if they remain there. If they announce something good and it is coming soon then I will probably just coax my current phone along and wait until they release the new thing. After talking about the bookstore you won’t be surprised to hear I am a bit excited about the iPhone’s connection to Kindle and Amazon. That is just like a bonus. Between the phone and my laptop I could wander around everywhere and still remain pretty much connected. Which means I would be able to bother everyone with my thoughts that much easier. How nice is that? More free opinions for you, it’s almost like Christmas isn’t it. Yes, I do amuse myself. Thank you. Off to go check on phones some more.
